— Hear ye, hear ye —
Not legally binding.
Make It Official is a parody platform. The friendship contracts produced through this service have no legal force whatsoever.
- They are not notarized.
- They are not recognized by any government, court, agency, or arbitration body.
- They do not create marriage, partnership, custody, guardianship, or any other legal relationship.
- They do not constitute a contract enforceable at law or in equity.
- They are not a substitute for a will, prenuptial agreement, power of attorney, business contract, or any other legal instrument.
A breach-of-friendship clause has approximately the same legal weight as a pinky promise — which is to say, none. The flat $19.99 fee for filing a dissolution or breach claim is a ceremonial filing fee, not a court-enforceable judgment, and no funds are transferred to any other party.
If you require something legally binding — a marriage, a domestic partnership, a business contract, a custody arrangement, a debt instrument — please consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. We are not one. We are a parchment-coloured website with a flair for ceremony.
Don't sue your friends.
